[CogSci] PhD opportunity in the Cognition, Language, Interaction, and Computation Lab at Stony Brook

Dear Colleagues,

I am looking for a PhD student to join my lab in the Psychology department
at Stony Brook University in Fall 2026.

My lab—the Language, Cognition, Interaction and Computation
<https://clic.camrobjones.com/>(CLIC) Lab—focuses on the similarities and
differences between human cognition and AI systems like Large Language
Models, as well as how people interact with these systems and the kinds of
social and psychological impacts they have on us.

Stony Brook is part of the SUNY system and is located on Long Island in NY.
Lots of students and faculty also commute from New York City. The
Psychology department offers a PhD in Cognitive Science. Admitted PhD
students are fully funded for five years through a combination of teaching
assistantships, research assistantships, and/or teaching as the instructor
of record.
