[CogSci] Call for Papers and Announcement of the 3rd World Conference on Artificial Consciousness (AC2025)

Dear Colleagues,
 
We are pleased to announce that the 3rd World Conference on Artificial Consciousness (AC2025), co-hosted by the World Association for Artificial Consciousness (WACA) and the World Academy of Artificial Consciousness (WAAC), will be held from December 26 to 28, 2025, at the Taicang Campus of Northwestern Polytechnical University in Taicang, Suzhou, Jiangsu Province, China. This conference will be the first in-person event following two previous online conferences and aims to bring together global experts and scholars to discuss cutting-edge theories and innovative applications in the field of artificial consciousness.
 
Conference Theme
"Exploring the Foundational Theories and Practical Applications of Artificial Consciousness"
 
Topics for Submission (including but not limited to):
 
 Breakthroughs, validation, and new cognitive frameworks in mainstream theories of consciousness (such as DIKWP, semantic mathematics, etc.) Core definitions, theoretical systems of artificial consciousness, and its boundaries with AI/AGI Interdisciplinary research on embodied intelligence, brain-machine interfaces, and artificial consciousness AI-enabled psychology, cognitive science, neuroscience, and clinical applications Case studies and practices of AI in proactive medicine, life sciences, industrial automation, and smart manufacturing AI-enabled research and innovations in economics, finance, humanities, and social sciences Analysis and evaluation of "pseudo-consciousness" phenomena in large language models 
Conference Highlights:
 
 First in-person conference: Providing a platform for in-depth exchange and collaboration for researchers worldwide. Interdisciplinary integration: Covering consciousness science, artificial intelligence, neuroengineering, humanities and social sciences, and more. Industry and academia integration: The "International Artificial Consciousness and AI Frontier Technology Exhibition" will be held concurrently to showcase the latest technological achievements and applications. International participation: We welcome representatives from universities, research institutions, businesses, and the investment community to submit papers and attend the conference.
