Dear colleagues,

We are looking for a postdoctoral research fellow to join our lab to work on multidisciplinary projects such as effective human-robot teaming, cognitive workload models in personalized training programs, etc. The goal of the projects includes developing a human-aware task planner that facilitates effective collaboration between a human operator and a diverse team of robots for exploring complex environments. The approach involves developing a computational model of the human operator that accounts for their intention, workload, and capabilities. The successful candidate will apply their knowledge to design, conduct, and analyze experiments that utilize eye-tracking data to investigate human behavior in diverse contexts.

Candidates should have a Ph.D. in cognitive psychology, computational cognitive science, or a related field, with a strong background in cognitive and quantitative research. Expertise in human cognition and methods involving eye-tracking and pupillometry analysis is preferred. The postdoctoral fellow will work with an interdisciplinary research team from psychology, engineering, computer science, robotics, and human robot interaction. The position is for two years, with a possiblity of a one-year extension subject to performance and availability of funding.

All qualified candidates are invited to submit the following materials to quin at sutd.edu.sg<mailto:quin at sutd.edu.sg> with RESEARCH FELLOW APPLICATION in the subject line: CV, a cover letter describing your research interests, prior work, and related experience, up to two relevant papers (published or preprints), and contact information for two references. Applicants will be reviewed on an ongoing basis.

Qualifications

  * PhD in cognitive psychology, computational cognitive science, or a related field.
  * Experience in the design and implementation of experiments using eye-tracking technology.
  * Familiarity with eye-tracking platforms (e.g., Tobii, SMI) and software/package for analyzing eye-gaze behavior.
  * Strong skills in statistical analysis and proficiency with data analysis software (e.g., R, MATLAB).
  * Experience with machine learning or computational modeling of eye-gaze data is desirable.
  * Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in an interdisciplinary team.
  * Experience in publishing scientific papers and presenting research findings.
