Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at QUT<https://www.qut.edu.au/about> funded via an Australian Research Council (ARC) Discovery Project entitled: A more sound approach to the neurobiology of language.
This Project investigates the role of systematic mappings between word forms and meaning in production and comprehension using psycholinguistic, fMRI and TMS methods.
The postdoctoral fellow will be supervised by Greig de Zubicaray<https://research.qut.edu.au/lcbs/people/greig-de-zubicaray/> (School of Psychology and Counselling, QUT), working in collaboration with Katie McMahon<https://research.qut.edu.au/lcbs/people/katie-mcmahon/> (QUT), Joanne Arciuli<https://www.flinders.edu.au/people/joanne.arciuli> (Flinders University) and Frank Guenther<https://www.bu.edu/csn/profile/frank-guenther/> (Boston University). The fellow will be responsible for conducting behavioural, fMRI and/or TMS experiments in the Lab<https://research.qut.edu.au/lcbs/>. Programming and analysis skills with R and/or MATLAB are essential. Computational modelling skills, while not essential, would be an advantage.
The position is for one year, commencing at Level B, Step 1 (see salary scales here<https://cms.qut.edu.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0008/974024/Salary-Scales-Academic-Staff.pdf>). Ideally the position would start by 30 June, 2024.
