[CogSci] PhD scholarships in psycholinguistics/neurobiology of language

Dear colleagues,

We have several projects available for PhD students in our lab (https://research.qut.edu.au/lcbs/) at Queensland University of Technology (QUT), Brisbane, Australia.

These include projects investigating systematic form-meaning mappings and their impacts on lexical processing, mechanisms of spoken word production, language impairments in pediatric and adult patients with brain tumours.

You will be expected to design and conduct behavioural and/or fMRI and TMS experiments, and communicate the findings via peer-review publications and presentations at national and international conferences/workshops.

Applicants will have a Master’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant area, such as experimental psychology, psycholinguistics, or cognitive neuroscience. Experience with data analysis and programming in R and MATLAB is desirable, and experience with fMRI analysis software such as SPM12 and FSL would be a significant plus. Proficiency in English is essential.
