[CogSci] Temporary Asst. Professor Position in Cognitive Science and Linguistics at U of Delaware (deadline extended)

Dear Cognitive Science Society community,

(First, apologies for the repeated posting; the deadline for application
review has been extended to May 1st, as opposed to the previous deadline of
April 15th.)

The Department of Linguistics and Cognitive Science at the University of
Delaware invites applications for a temporary assistant professor, to
support the Department's teaching and advising needs. The appointment is
expected to begin on August 16, 2024, and will run until August 31, 2025,
with the possibility of renewal for up to a maximum of three years.

We are seeking a candidate who demonstrates a strong commitment to
undergraduate education.  The primary responsibility of this position is to
support the Department’s programs in Cognitive Science and Linguistics.
Expertise in language acquisition and/or cognitive science is desirable.
The successful candidate will be expected to teach a subset of the
following courses: Introduction to Cognitive Science; Introduction to
Linguistics; First Language Development; Topics in Cognitive Science;
Psycholinguistics.  Also desirable are Second Language Acquisition and
Bilingualism; Structure of English; Sociolinguistics; Languages of the
World.  The successful candidate is also expected to demonstrate a
commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts within the
department and the university.

Applicants for this position should have a PhD in linguistics, cognitive
science, or a related field.
