My lab (www.cmu.edu/ddmlab<http://www.cmu.edu/ddmlab>) has a post-doctoral position slot available to start on September 1, 2021.

The Post-doctoral fellow will work on the general area of Behavioral Cybersecurity: The study of human behavior in cyber security contexts such as: intrusion detection, phishing, and design of cyber deception.  He/She will support the design of experimental studies involving one or more (networked) participants or computational agents; and will also need to be engaged in the development of computational models of individual and collective behavior, using Instance-Based Learning Theory.

Required qualifications:
-- A Ph.D. (completed by start of employment) in cognitive science or behavioral psychology, human factors engineering, computer engineering or equivalent technical degree. Technical background is required, demonstrating experience in modeling and simulation; for example, a Ph.D. in social psychology with no background on Engineering or Computer Science would not be acceptable.
-- Training in behavioral science research methods and statistical analyses.
-- Experience with statistical software (preferably R, others acceptable).
-- Experience with computational/cognitive modeling (e.g., reinforcement learning, ACT-R models, IBL models).
-- Experience with web-based development and databases (Javascript, Nodejs, python, MySQL)
-- Demonstrable writing abilities through publications and good communication skills.
Desired qualifications:
-- Experience working with interdisciplinary, collaborative teams, and managing research assistants.
-- Experience with writing research proposals.
Duration:
This is a full time research position with full benefits, for one year with a possibility of renewal for additional years, conditional on performance and availability of funds.
