The Department of Psychology at Arizona State University invites
applications for a Postdoctoral Research Scholar position in the Science of
Learning and Educational Technologies (SoLET) Laboratory directed by
Danielle McNamara. The postdoctoral research scholar will be working on
projects funded by the IES and ONR to explore factors influencing students’
performance in reading and writing, in particular source-based essays. The
candidate will be involved in conducting studies with high school students
and adult literacy students, recruiting and coordinating teachers and
schools across multiple sites in AZ, MS, and GA, scoring and analyzing
data, publishing outcomes, and directing social media efforts. This is a
full-time, benefits-eligible appointment with no tenure implications.

Anticipated start date is May 1, 2019.



The qualifications for this position include: must have earned a Ph.D. in
learning sciences, educational psychology, or psychology, or in a related
field within the past four years. The ideal candidate will have past
experience in implementing educational technologies in educational settings
and have interest in working in a research lab, particularly one focusing
on learning and cognitive sciences.

Salary range is $48,432 to $51,324.
