Dear colleagues,
Please share with your students and RAs that the Developmental area (https://dornsife.usc.edu/psyc/developmental-psychology/) at the University of Southern California is inviting prospective students to apply to our Ph.D. program. The program provides five years of full funding (tuition covered, ~$41,200 annual stipend, health and dental insurance). Students are provided two years of fellowship to allow them to focus full time on their studies, and three years of support as a teaching or research assistant.
The program examines diverse developmental processes that include culture and context, language, cognition, emotion, social functioning in the family and peer group, developmental psychopathology, and neurodevelopment. As an interdisciplinary program, students are able to take courses and collaborate with faculty from the Cognitive and Brain Science<https://dornsife.usc.edu/psyc/brain-and-cognitive-science/>, Clinical Science<https://dornsife.usc.edu/psyc/clinical-science/>, and Quantitative Methods and Computational Psychology<https://dornsife.usc.edu/psyc/quantitative-methods/> areas as well as other colleges across USC.
Interested applicants are encouraged to visit the department admissions website: https://dornsife.usc.edu/psyc/admissions/. The deadline for applications is December 1, 2025.
