[CogSci] [Call for Abstract]: PhD Workshop: Combating Misinformation in the Digital Age (April 2-4, 2025)

We are excited to invite you to our interdisciplinary workshop, “Combating Misinformation in the Digital Age: Cognitive Biases, Societal Challenges and Ethical Considerations”, which will take place over April 2-4, 2025, in Tübingen, Germany.
The workshop will explore misinformation, manipulative content, the blending of true and false information, and the role which social media plays and can play to counter these challenges. We aim to bring together researchers from diverse disciplines to examine these themes from new perspectives. Contributions are welcome from research of different kinds, including theoretical work, pre-data ideas, and applied studies.
Our keynote speakers include:
* Stephan Lewandowsky (University of Bristol)
* Nadia Said (University of Tübingen)
* Segun Taofeek Aroyehun (University of Konstanz)
* Helen Fischer (Leibniz-Institut für Wissensmedien, Tübingen)
* Maria Pawelec (International Center for Ethics in the Sciences and Humanities, Tübingen)

Submission Guidelines:
* Please include a title and an abstract of maximum 250 words, outlining the contribution which you wish to present.
* Contributions can take the form of either pre-read papers or presentations.
* We hope to notify applicants within a week or two of the abstract submission deadline.
* Participation is free as the workshop is funded by the BMBF and Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Science*.
* Participants are responsible for covering their own travel and accommodation expenses.
* However, there is some accommodation funding available upon request. Please indicate in the application process whether you would like to be considered for accommodation funding support.
