[CogSci] Recruiting English learners of Mandarin for research study

To whom it may concern,

I'm a researcher in the Department of Communicative Sciences and Disorders
at New York University. I'm currently seeking Native English-speaking
females who have Mandarin learning experience to participate in a research
study (IRB-FY2020-4250).

We are looking for participants who meet the following criteria:

• Native English-speaking females between 18 and 40 years of age
• Started to learn Mandarin no earlier than high school and have at least
one year of Mandarin learning experience
• No regular exposure to or speaking French, German, & Swedish
• No history of major hearing, speech, language, or learning difficulties
• Have not recently missed teeth or started to wear braces
• No phonetic training

The study takes about 1.5 hours to complete, and each participant receives
a $40 Amazon gift card for participation. Participants will be asked to
fill out a questionnaire about their developmental history and language
experiences and complete several speech sound listening and speaking tasks.
Participants will come to our lab at NYU to complete some of the tasks.
