Dear All,


The Mathematical Cognition Lab at Wright State University directed by Dr. Jennifer Kaminski is seeking a part-time research assistant, pending budgetary approval. The successful candidate will assist with research investigating mathematics learning and mathematical reasoning. Studies are conducted in area schools and on campus. Some studies may involve eye tracking. The lab currently has funding from the U.S. Department of Education (IES) to study mathematics learning by children. Responsibilities:

Responsibilities will include data collection at area schools and possibly assisting with the development of study material.

Qualifications:

Required qualifications include: Bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, mathematics (with an interest in mathematics learning and research), or a related field. The successful candidate will have prior research experience, experience working with children, skills in MS Office, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Working Conditions:

Individual will work on campus and off campus at area schools. He/she may need to use his/her personal vehicle to perform the job. He/she must have a valid driver’s license and be able to pass a background check in order to work with children in schools. This is a temporary position for 10-20 hours per week (minimum of $15/hour).
