Psychological and Brain Sciences at the University of Louisville invites
applications for a full-time, tenure-track position with a specialization in
any aspect of cognition and/or human development at the Assistant Professor
level beginning August 1, 2026. Applicants with expertise in learning and
memory are especially encouraged to apply. Successful candidates will be
prepared to contribute to the undergraduate and graduate teaching missions of
the department and to maintain an excellent record of research productivity.
Applicants must hold a PhD or equivalent doctoral degree at the time of
appointment.<br>

We seek individuals who demonstrate the potential of attracting extramural
funding and whose research on learning and memory complements other research
foci in the department, especially applicants with expertise in learning
science, development, and/or aging. Individuals with the experience or desire
to teach courses in cognition, development, and/or neuroscience to graduate and
undergraduate students are especially encouraged to apply.<br>

The department hosts two baccalaureate degree programs (Psychology and
Neuroscience), an accelerated BS/MS program, and two doctoral programs
(Clinical Psychological Science and Psychological Science) and participates in
an interdisciplinary doctoral program in Translational Neuroscience. The
applicant will be a core faculty member in our Psychological Science program.<br>
