and Behavioral Sciences in the New College of Interdisciplinary Arts and

is seeking a full-time, benefits-eligible Postdoctoral Scholar </span>in the
Applied Cognitive Dynamics and Communication Laboratory led by Dr. Nicholas
Duran. <span style="color:black">There is an expectation of funding for up to two years. </span>We
are seeking applicants who use computational and experimental methods to examine
issues that intersect cognitive and social psychology. Funds for this position
are not associated with a particular project, thus allowing the lab director and
successful candidate to focus on projects of shared interest. The candidate
will also have opportunities to contribute to a recently established, ASU-wide
research cluster – Behavioral Data Science – that explores large-scale
naturalistic and experimentally-collected data for the purpose of generating
new insights about psychological processes. Preference will be given to
candidates whose research interests align with the lab director, which broadly include
but are not limited to: language and communication, cognitive dynamics
(mouse-tracking paradigms), and high-level cognition (such as examining
deception). </p>

and Behavioral Sciences is presently in a period of expansion and innovation
around new initiatives and programs in Psychology, including Behavioral Data
Science, Forensic Psychology, and Resilience in Social Environments. Since Fall
2017, the School has added ten new tenured/tenure-track faculty, including two
new tenure-track faculty in Psychology. This academic year, the School has been
approved to recruit seven additional tenured/tenure-track faculty, including
