The committee’s report praised CEU’s strong research record, role as a bridge between Hungarian and American higher education systems, commitment to excellence in research and teaching, and focus on student services and scholarships. Separately, we welcome the new Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) rankings placing CEU among the world’s top 100 in the fields of Politics, Social Policy, Sociology, History, and Philosophy; and in the top 200 in Economics and Law.<br class=""><br class="">These acknowledgements of CEU's value and contributions make us very proud. However, they do not, in and of themselves, secure our long-term future in Budapest. The New York State agreement which paves the way for a solution must still be signed, though government action is unlikely ahead of national elections on April 8. A bizottság jelentése kiemelte az Egyetem kimagasló kutatási eredményeit, a magyar és amerikai felsőoktatási rendszerek között betöltött összekötő szerepét, a kutatási és oktatási kiválóság iránti elkötelezettségét, és a hallgatókat támogató szolgáltatásokat és ösztöndíjakat. Emellett örömmel értesültünk arról, hogy a Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) felsőoktatási rangsorában a CEU a világ 100 legjobb egyeteme között szerepel a politika, szociálpolitika, szociológia, történelem és filozófia tárgyakban, és a legjobb 200 között a közgazdaságtan és a jogtudomány terén.<br class=""><br class="">Büszkék vagyunk a CEU kiválóságát és szerepvállalását elismerő eredményeinkre. Ezek azonban nem rendezik hosszútávon az Egyetem budapesti helyzetét.
