<html><head><meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html charset=windows-1252"></head><body style="word-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; -webkit-line-break: after-white-space;"><span style="font-size: medium;">Lab Coordinator II</span><br><div apple-content-edited="true"><div apple-content-edited="true"><font size="3">The University of Delaware Treatment Efficacy & Language Learning Lab (TELL Lab) </font></div><div apple-content-edited="true"><font size="3">The University of Delaware</font></div><div apple-content-edited="true"><font size="3">Newark, Delaware</font></div><div apple-content-edited="true"><font size="3"><br></font></div><div apple-content-edited="true"><font size="3">The University of Delaware Treatment Efficacy & Language Learning Lab (TELL Lab) studies the language learning processes of typically developing children, children with Developmental Language Disorder, and children at risk for poor language learning due to environmental factors (e.g., poverty).  Our research consists of experimental studies, treatment studies (i.e, behavioral clinical trials, and computational modeling. </font></div><div apple-content-edited="true"><font size="3"><br></font></div><div apple-content-edited="true"><font size="3">The TELL Lab Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the efforts of the lab to collect research data. A significant proportion of duties involve supporting participant recruitment and retention efforts, including organizing outreach to the local community, administering and interpreting standardized and informal assessments, interacting with children, families, and schools and providing treatment to children with language impairment within an experimental protocol. The incumbent will also be responsible for coordinating lab calendars and scheduling, training and supervising student research assistants; entering, coding, and analyzing data; submitting and renewing IRB protocols and ensuring that research is conducted in an ethical fashion. The incumbent may also supervise graduate student clinicians who participate in treatment research and/or participate in the publication and grant writing process. Given scheduling needs for training students and meeting with participants and community partners, the Lab Coordinator must be flexible and be able to independently establish scheduling priorities as well as be able to perform all laboratory procedures.</font></div><div apple-content-edited="true"><font size="3"><br></font></div><div apple-content-edited="true"><font size="3">This is a grant funded opportunity.</font></div><div apple-content-edited="true"><font size="3"><br></font></div><div apple-content-edited="true"><font size="3"> MAJOR RESPONSIBILITES:</font></div><div apple-content-edited="true"><font size="3">• Enforce and model University of Delaware human subjects policies and procedures within the laboratory to ensure that human subjects research is conducted in an ethical fashion.</font></div><div apple-content-edited="true"><font size="3">• Coordinate the recruitment and retention of research participants, including actively seeking out community partners and identifying ways to enhance the lab’s profile within relevant communities (speech pathology, special education, early childhood education). Effectively connect with parents and community partners and communicate research needs and goals.  </font></div><div apple-content-edited="true"><font size="3">• Administer and interpret standardized and lab-developed assessment measures of language and cognition in order to determine eligibility for participation in the study. Provide appropriate follow-up support to families and clinicians. </font></div><div apple-content-edited="true"><font size="3">• Perform experimental procedures/provide speech language treatments, assuring fidelity to protocol by recording and consolidating data as directed by the PI.</font></div><div apple-content-edited="true"><font size="3">• Supervise students in the lab carrying out lab-related activities (i.e., transcription, data coding, subject recruitment, etc). </font></div><div apple-content-edited="true"><font size="3">• Manage lab related data (audio, video, text) in conscientious, reliable, and well-documented fashion. </font></div><div apple-content-edited="true"><font size="3">• Ensure that the materials and supplies in the laboratory remain operational. Coordinate service and repair of laboratory instruments and reorder supplies as needed.  Troubleshoot equipment problems as they arise in the laboratory. Update laboratory protocols and manuals as necessary.</font></div><div apple-content-edited="true"><font size="3">• Provide technical support for the writing of grants, contracts, proposals, and based on work performed in the facility. Assist with Institutional Review Board documentation and submission of grants to federal agencies.</font></div><div apple-content-edited="true"><font size="3">• Attend appropriate training courses,
