<p class="Default"><span style="font-size:11.5pt">The Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Iowa seeks applications for an Associate to Full Professor whose research examines the cognitive and/or neural substrates of language
and communication. We are seeking a scholar with a strong program of research in communication and language in one or multiple domains (e.g., phonology, semantics, grammar, discourse), including the interaction between cognitive and communicative functions
in typical individuals or those with cognitive-communication disorders such as traumatic brain injury (TBI) and dementia. Applicants with expertise in the design, implementation and dissemination of evidence-based interventions are particularly encouraged
to apply. <o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="Default"><span style="font-size:11.5pt">The successful applicant will maintain an active research program and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in his/her areas of expertise. The University of Iowa offers exciting opportunities for interdisciplinary
scholarship across a number of campus facilities and programs, including the Wendell Johnson Speech and Hearing Clinic, the DeLTA Center, the Cognitive Science of Language Program, the Interdisciplinary Graduate Program in Neuroscience, and the Aging Mind
and Brain Initiative as well as strong collaborations with units such as Psychological and Brain Sciences, Otolaryngology, and the Iowa Neuroscience Institute. Opportunities for implementation science research with publicly or privately affiliated service
providers also exist. <o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="Default"><b><span style="font-size:11.5pt">Education Requirements</span></b><span style="font-size:11.5pt">: Prospective candidates must have earned a PhD in communication sciences and disorders, cognitive psychology, cognitive neuroscience or a related

<p class="Default"><b><span style="font-size:11.5pt">Required Qualifications</span></b><span style="font-size:11.5pt">: 1) evidence of an active and productive research program in cognition and communication; 2) an established record of external funding; 3)
a record of effective teaching at the post-secondary level; and 4) evidence of service at the university or professional level.
