Dear colleagues,
This is a friendly reminder that registration for the SEMPRE PGR/ECR Conference 2026 will close at 11 pm on Thursday, 26 March 2026. The Conference will take place on Thursday, 16 April 2026, at the Faculty of Music, University of Cambridge, with online participation available.
Accepted authors and non-presenting participants are kindly asked to complete their registration via the following link:

This year’s SEMPRE conference will feature a wide range of presentations by postgraduate and early-career researchers in music psychology, music education, and related interdisciplinary fields. Over 120 have been accepted to present their research in oral and poster sessions. The scientific programme, available on the conference website, offers a valuable opportunity to engage with current research and to connect with colleagues working across diverse areas of music scholarship.
We are also delighted to welcome our keynote speaker, Dr Marcus Pearce, who will present a keynote address entitled Learning to Listen: Enculturation of Music Perception and Pleasure.
