[CogSci] Submissions open for the 17th annual BCCCD meeting in Budapest, Hungary, January 7-9, 2027

We are delighted to announce that submissions for the 17th annual BCCCD meeting in Budapest, Hungary (January 7-9, 2027) are now open for symposia, talks, and posters.


IMPORTANT DATES



  *   Submissions open: June 22, 2026

  *   Submissions close: September 7, 2026

  *   Pre-conference workshop submissions close: October 5, 2026

  *   Notification of decision*: November 9, 2026

  *   Registration opens: September 8, 2026



*For authors requiring a visa to attend, we can provide a supporting letter shortly after the submission deadline.


Submission Guidelines:

For Individual Talks and Posters:

  *   Talks and posters both require a 300-word abstract, plus a one-page PDF of supplementary material (optional). This extra page will ONLY be seen by reviewers and will not be in the final program. Both the abstract and the supplementary material file should be fully anonymized and feature no name or affiliation.

  *   All submissions should be made via: BCCCD27 Submission Portal<https://www.openconf.org/bcccd27>


For Symposia:

  *   Symposia typically include three talks (15 minutes each) followed by a discussion. The unifying statement should be up to 500 words long. Each talk should be submitted through the same system as individual talks (see above), where the title of the corresponding symposium should be indicated in the “Symposium Title” field. Discussants do not need to submit a separate abstract.

For Pre-conference Workshops and Tutorials:

  *   Workshops should provide an in-depth overview and opportunities to discuss topics in developmental cognitive science. Tutorials should provide the opportunity to learn new skills of relevance to developmental cognitive science (e.g., experimental methods or data analysis techniques). Submissions require a 300-word summary of the overview and motivation, as well as details of the proposed program (speakers and titles for workshops, topics for tutorials).
