We are delighted to announce the 23rd European Conference on Eye Movements (ECEM), which will take place in Ulm, Germany, from August 30 to September 3, 2026.
Over more than four decades, ECEM has become the world’s largest and most dynamic meeting dedicated to eye movement research. The conference brings together researchers from neuroscience, psychology, linguistics, computer science, medicine, and many other disciplines — all united by a shared interest in understanding eye movements.
We now invite abstract submissions for symposia, talks, and posters.
Submission: https://www.conftool.com/ecem2026/
Topics of interest include all aspects of eye movement research, such as attention and perception; learning and expertise; social cognition and affective processing; reading and language processing; eye movement control and dynamics; applied domains including XR, usability, education, or clinical research; as well as methodological, analytical, and modeling approaches.
Ulm, located in the south of Germany on the banks of the Danube, combines a rich historical heritage with modern scientific innovation. The welcoming Ulm University is home to vibrant research in vision and cognition. The city’s compact old town, featuring the world’s tallest church spire, offers a scenic setting for ECEM 2026.
Join us at ECEM in Ulm to connect, discuss, and explore the presence and future of eye movement research!
