Reviewer Zero, a group dedicated to reimagining a fair and developmental peer review system to support the future of science and scholars, has a new free resource that we believe could be useful for members of the cogsci community: "How to Effectively Respond to Peer Reviews."

This is an online, self-paced, and free module for anyone interested (takes about 50 minutes). This flexible format supports easy integration into graduate curriculum, as well as use for seminar/professional development discussion and academic journal resources.

You can access it here: https://purdue.ca1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_8puDsN2QbQCW2HQ

Specifically, in the module, we'll discuss the general process of publishing and peer reviews, as well as strategies for dissecting and responding to reviewer comments. Throughout, there are opportunities to complete short exercises, answer questions, and get templates and resources for future reference. If participants agree, they can opt in to allow the researcher to analyze their responses entered in the online module for research purposes but this is completely optional.

This resource was funded by NSF and developed to support early-career researchers and promote access to knowledge for all. If you find it relevant, please share! We’d be grateful for your support in helping it reach those who might benefit.

Please let us know if you have any questions, feedback, or need additional information. We’d be happy to provide more context or discuss how you may integrate this module into graduate training programs and other resources. Simply email us at admin at reviewerzero.net.
