I am delighted to announced that the Max Planck Institute for Psycholinguistics is inviting nominations, including self-nominations, for a Director who will establish a new research department at the institute with a unique, innovative and long-term research program focussed on the psychology of language.  The area of expertise is entirely open.

Max Planck directors need to have a record of successful leadership, the ability to devise a long-term visionary strategy for their research, and the potential to make a substantial contribution to the institute's mission.
