We will be able to host 1-2 summer interns for a 10-week internship from
June 1 to Aug 8 in Boston. Interns will receive a stipend of $7000 in
installments over the summer for a 40-hour workweek.
Interns' primary responsibility will be helping with testing children
(ages 2 to 6) in an ongoing study of cognitive development. Most of the
studies will focus on children's growing understanding of physical
mechanics, especially balance and support. It is possible that we will
also run a language development study.
Interns will also development the R and statistics skills, participate
in a reading group, and be embedded in the daily life of the lab.
Required qualifications include:
* Prior experience working with children (or a compelling story about
why you'd be good at it)
* Be a US citizen, national, or permanent resident
* Be a current undergraduate (seniors who graduate in May are also
eligible)
* Being able to be in person in Boston June 1 to Aug 8.
Students who have strong programming skills will be able to put those to
use, but this is not a requirement. Prior research experience is nice
but by no means critical.
Our main lab space is located in Charlestown, on the water.
