Dear all,

We are pleased to announce a fully funded four-year PhD position in
the Psychophysiology
of Language and Affect (PoLA) lab (PI: Rafał Jończyk,
https://pola.amu.edu.pl/) at Adam Mickiewicz University (AMU, Poznań,
Poland), in collaboration with Guillaume Thierry (Bangor University, UK).

The project will investigate brain signatures of creative idea generation
and evaluation, as well as their dynamic interplay. A special focus will be
placed on bilinguals, exploring whether the language we use to generate and
evaluate ideas impacts creative performance.

The PoLA lab is part of the Cognitive Neuroscience Center at AMU (
https://neuroscience.amu.edu.pl/) and is equipped with state-of-the-art
psychophysiological equipment, including two adjacent 64-channel BioSemi
EEG systems (with GSR sensors) enabling dual EEG/hyperscanning. We foster
an inclusive, supportive, and collaborative environment, with close ties to
other research groups and shared lab meetings.

The successful candidate will join the AMU Doctoral School (
https://usosirk.amu.edu.pl/en-gb/home/SD-2025/).
