The positions are for three years and are available from January 1st, 2025, but later start dates are possible.

The Position
The Center for Adaptive Rationality takes an interdisciplinary approach to behavioral and social science. The positions are funded through a grant from the German Research Foundation. It focuses on applying (open-source) large language models (LLMs) to research data from the behavioral and social sciences to understand psychological mechanisms and anticipate the generalizability of findings. The goal is to develop LLM-based methods and tools to improve generalizability in these fields. The successful candidates will join the Search and Learning research area headed by Dr. Dirk Wulff.

Your Profile
Applicants should have programming skills in Python or R and an interest in meta-science perspectives on behavioral and social science. Prior experience with natural language processing and (open-source) large language models is desirable.
