Dear All,

There is an exciting opportunity to pursue a funded MSc and PhD (or PhD only if you already hold an MSc) with me and Dr Nathan Evans (Nathan.Evans at liverpool.ac.uk <mailto:Nathan.Evans at liverpool.ac.uk>) at the University of Liverpool, starting in September 2025. If interested in a PhD only, an earlier start date is possible.

Throughout the duration of your studies, your tuition fees will be covered, and you will receive a stipend along with additional funds for research, training, and other related expenses.

Applications from both home and international students are welcome.

Requirements:
- The scholarship is awarded to students who can demonstrate consistently high academic performance. You need to have graduated (or expect to graduate) with a good honours degree at first-class level or equivalent.
- You will need to submit a brief research proposal. We'll develop it together. If you have an interest in topics related to decision-making, cognitive modelling, evidence accumulation models, confidence judgements etc we'd be really interested in hearing from you and discuss several possible research projects in line with our current research interests.

If you are interested in this opportunity and would like to know more about it, please contact me via email at a.pirrone at liverpool.ac.uk <mailto:a.pirrone at liverpool.ac.uk>. Please include your CV in the email.
