Dear all,
I am happy to share that we have 2 fully funded, 3-year PhD studentships on the project of In-and-Out: Cognitively-grounded integration of indoor and outdoor spatial computing. The project is a collaboration between Dr Jakub Krukar, University of Münster and myself at the Insitut Polytechnique de Paris.
"In-and-Out" aims to integrate indoor and outdoor spatial computing with cognitive research. Over the last decade indoor and outdoor spatial computing - previously developed in separation - has been integrated on the technical level. However, cognitive research has not followed this change. The 2 PhD students (one based in Paris and one in Münster) will work on conducting empirical studies in real-world / VR and developing spatial computing prototypes of navigation (Muenster) and design-support tools (Paris).
The positions are ideal for someone from cognitive / science, architecture / architectural computing / space syntax, or computer science / HCI with an interest in architecture and cognition.
Please consider applying or help share this opportunity!
