Dear all,

the Laboratory for Empirical Reception Research (https://www.linglit.tu-darmstadt.de/institutlinglit/mitarbeitende/weitin/litlab/index.en.jsp) at TU Darmstadt is seeking a post-doctoral researcher with interest in experimental reading research. As part of the Centre for Cognitive Science (https://www.tu-darmstadt.de/cogsci/ccs/index.en.jsp), the lab of Thomas Weitin specializes in cognitive reading research and cognitive humanities.

You will manage the laboratory and support with administrative tasks in the context of the empirical projects of the department. The main responsibilities include assisting in study development, conducting eyetracking studies, overseeing data pre-processing, and analyzing data. You are also encouraged to develop and implement your own research projects.


Duration: 2 years, full-time

Expected start date: June 1st, 2024


Qualifications:


*        A Ph.D. in the field of Cognitive Science or Empirical Literary/Cultural Studies

*        Laboratory experience, ideally with a setup of eye-tracking and peripheral physiology

*        Proficiency in statistics and data analysis

*        Ability to work in a research team of diverse backgrounds

*        Excellent written and verbal communication skills

*        Fluent in English or German
