The Department of Psychological Sciences at Texas Tech University announces multiple openings for tenure-track positions for Fall 2024 at the Assistant Professor level in Cognition and Cognitive Neuroscience (34770BR<https://sjobs.brassring.com/TGnewUI/Search/Home/Home?partnerid=25898&siteid=5637&jobDetails=818013_5637>), Human Factors Psychology (34771BR<https://sjobs.brassring.com/TGnewUI/Search/Home/Home?partnerid=25898&siteid=5637&jobDetails=818021_5637>), and Social Psychology (34772BR<https://sjobs.brassring.com/TGnewUI/Search/Home/Home?partnerid=25898&siteid=5637&jobDetails=818022_5637>). The anticipated starting date is August 22, 2024.

We have one opening for a tenure-track faculty member in Cognition & Cognitive Neuroscience. Competitive candidates will have the following qualifications: Ph.D. in cognitive psychology, cognitive neuroscience, or cognitive science; skill and expertise in conducting human-subjects neuroimaging research with fMRI, including study design, image acquisition, and data analysis; ability to teach graduate cognitive neuroscience courses and fMRI courses; interest in collaborating with current faculty and graduate students, in particular to provide neuroimaging expertise. Expertise in other neuroimaging techniques, computational modeling, or health psychology is valued but not required.

We have one opening for a tenure-track faculty member in Human Factors Psychology. The successful candidate will be a core faculty member in the Human Factors Psychology Program, which is fully accredited by the Human Factors and Ergonomics Society. Specialty area is open but should contribute to the department's growing emphases on health, safety, and neuroscience (each broadly defined). Examples include but are not limited to workplace safety, transportation safety, patient safety, cybersecurity, neuroergonomics, human-automation and human-robot interaction, human-machine teaming, and team performance in health, military, and national security activities. Some preference will be given to candidates whose research complements that of current faculty.

We have one opening for a tenure-track faculty member in Social Psychology. Applicants are expected to have a program of research that fits within any subarea of social psychology and complements the existing faculty strengths in health, identity, stigma, self-regulation, substance use, group processes and intergroup relations, and attitudes and persuasion.

Candidates for all three positions are expected to conduct independent, productive, and programmatic research, compete for extramural research funding, teach undergraduate and graduate psychology courses, mentor undergraduate and graduate students, and provide service to the department, college, university, and profession.

The Department of Psychological Sciences at Texas Tech University (http://www.depts.ttu.edu/psy/) has doctoral programs in clinical, counseling, cognition and cognitive neuroscience, human factors, and social psychology. We currently have 29 full-time faculty members, 125+ doctoral students, over 1,500 undergraduate majors, our own building with labs and classroom space, and a Psychology Clinic. The Texas Tech Neuroimaging Institute

(TTNI) houses a research-dedicated fMRI. Our research programs encompass departmental, campus, community, and national/international collaborations. We have effective working relationships with the TTU Health Sciences Center, several large area hospitals, numerous clinics and psychological-service agencies, and other multidisciplinary groups in the region. Texas Tech is classified as a doctoral "research-extensive university" by the Carnegie Foundation, a Research 1 University, and as a "national research university" by the State of Texas. Texas Tech is also designated as a Hispanic Serving Institution and a First-Gen Forward Advisory Institution. With a population over 250,000 people, Lubbock is an ethnically diverse community, with a low cost of living, semi-arid climate, modern airport and infrastructure, and great school districts.
