LEAP for Diverse Scholars
<https://click.info.apa.org/?qs=5a4a28a1d307bde9aa4e4bee6016825502a10c0dfe3d576beb948d8975b7f73b6656a970e563ad9e50272fd58b6f2462>This evidence-informed mentoring and leadership development program supports early career individuals from underrepresented racial/ethnic backgrounds who have attained their doctorate degree in a social/behavioral science field (medical, nursing, sociology, anthropology, economics, neuroscience, epidemiology, public health, biotechnology) who show promise in research related to the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) mission<https://click.info.apa.org/?qs=5a4a28a1d307bde9829abe144089d235765b107f88d8cd31e311fdcb72004f93bf41e25829c59d94186d4fa472347e98>. The program prepares fellows to submit a high-quality National Institutes of Health or foundation grant application through mentorship, career development funds, grant writing training, leadership training, coaching and developing a network of senior researchers who hold leadership positions in various academic settings.

Call for LEAP Mentors
LEAP for Diverse Scholars is also seeking mid- and advanced-level scientists in a social/behavioral science, or medical field with research related to the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) mission<https://click.info.apa.org/?qs=5a4a28a1d307bde9829abe144089d235765b107f88d8cd31e311fdcb72004f93bf41e25829c59d94186d4fa472347e98> and a leadership position in higher education and/or an association to serve as mentors. The term of service is two years with a one-hour time commitment each month.
