Dear colleagues,


The Faculty of Psychology at Chulalongkorn University is looking to appoint a full-time, tenure track faculty. Duties include a) teaching and advising at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, b) conducting research and publishing academic papers, and c) services and administrative duties as appointed.


The appointee is expected to teach undergraduate-level and graduate-level courses in cognitive psychology and/or cognitive science in English. The appointee will teach approximately four courses per year. Courses will be taught in person at the Faculty of Psychology, Chulalongkorn University, located in Bangkok, Thailand.



The university offers an initial temporary contract for up to 12 months. In case of a good performance, a longer-term appointment can be granted, subject to mutual agreement. Compensation is commensurate with ability and experience within the range of 41,000–56,400 Thai Baht for a Lecturer position. The initial salary for each qualified applicant is individually considered based on several factors as per the University’s regulations. The compensation range can be negotiated for applicants with excellent publication records. The appointee with an assistant professor title and above may apply for equivalency evaluation. If granted, the compensation will be adjusted accordingly.


The Faculty of Psychology, Chulalongkorn University is a leading educational institution in Thailand with numerous international/visiting faculty and students. The Faculty consists of seven psychology disciplines with more than 30 faculty members. We offer both international and local programs at undergraduate and graduate levels. Our research labs are equipped with specialized research software for experiment controls (e.g., e-Prime) and data analysis (e.g., SPSS, MATLAB), psychophysiological data collection tools (e.g., Biosemi EEG, Biopac), as well as online research platforms (e.g., Qualtrics).

Education and qualifications requirement:

Applicants must hold a PhD degree in Cognitive Psychology, Cognitive Science, or a related field at the time of application. Evidence of active research, publications, or conference presentations is desirable. During the application process, the applicant is expected to present their research as well as demonstrate their teaching skills. Other essential skills include good organizational and communication skills, and the ability to work constructively with colleagues.
