Dear Colleagues,

Please share with talented and motivated students interested in a PhD in Experimental Psychology.

Faculty in the cognitive and development clusters in the Department of Psychology at Oklahoma State University are recruiting motivated and talented students interested in pursuing a PhD starting Fall 2022. Within the experimental program, there are particular strengths in cognition, language, and development (see http://psychology.okstate.edu/academic-programs/graduate-programs/experimental-psychology ). The following language faculty are recruiting students for fall 2019. The following faculty are especially interested in recruiting students with interests in cognitive science.

The Cognitive Science Laboratory focuses on a range of research, including topics in cognition related to traditional psycholinguistics, communication and social processes involved in language, especially those involving multilingualism. New NSF-funded research focuses on strategies for increasing cybersecurity knowledge and behavior and the relationships between personality/personal characteristics and language use on social media (programming in Python useful). More details can be found http://sheliakennison.wixsite.com/cognitivesciencelab or by emailing Dr. Kennison at shelia.kennison at okstate.edu<mailto:shelia.kennison at okstate.edu>.

The Department of Psychology at Oklahoma State University admits only full-time students working toward a Ph.D. The M.S. degree is awarded as the first step in doctoral training. The Experimental Psychology program aims to provide students with a broad research-based training in the psychological sciences and offers four concentrations/tracks - cognitive, comparative-neurobiology, development, and social-personality. The department houses 11 full-time experimental faculty and an additional 12 clinical faculty who represent a diverse knowledge base. Students are encouraged to engage in research with multiple faculty and utilize the multiple opportunities for collaboration.
