I represent Bentley Staffing Services, a national staffing firm, and we are currently recruiting Cognitive Modelers to work fully remote for our client L3Harris Technologies, an $18B Defense Org, for around $50+ an hr (1.5X OT). Cognitive Modeler
Location: 100% Remote
Client: L3Harris Technologies
Duration: 12 Month Contract-to-Permanent Hire (May Convert to Perm Sooner)
Schedule: 9/80 Workweek - 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM
Target Pay Rate: ~$50+ an hr (1.5X OT) (Will Pay More for Stronger Experience)

*Fully Remote Position - Can be Located Anywhere in the US*
*Must be Willing to Obtain an Active Secret Clearance While Working*

Overview:
Supports efforts to develop models in the context of Human-Machine Teaming, fatigue and sustained attention performance impacts, and cognitive workload and multitasking.
This will be accomplished through development of new models to address the continuously evolving capabilities of humans and machines. This work digitizes agents and produces readiness estimates for operators to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of training exercises and future operations.

Basic Qualifications:
*         BS degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Cognitive Science, or a related technical field (e.g. Cognitive Psychology) is required.
*         Experience developing and/or applying computational cognitive models and/or machine learning models within applied settings
*         Experience developing models within the ACT-R cognitive architecture
*         Experience with either Python, Java, C++, or other programming languages
*         Ability to develop and debug nondeterministic, adaptive systems
*         Applied knowledge in Data Mining / Automated Knowledge Acquisition, Representation and Reasoning Skills
