Postdoctoral Research Scholar, Arizona State University, Department of
Psychology



The Department of Psychology at Arizona State University invites
applications for two Postdoctoral Research Scholars to join the Science of
Learning and Educational Technologies (SoLET) Laboratory directed by
Danielle McNamara. The postdoctoral research scholars will work on projects
funded by the IES and ONR to aid in studies using natural language
processing tools that explore factors influencing students’ performance in
comprehension, writing, and mathematics. The ideal candidates will have
expertise in linguistics and/or natural language processing, discourse
analysis, data analytics, data management, or machine learning, with some
knowledge of topics related to language, discourse processing, and/or
literacy. The position involves working in a collaborative research lab
focusing on learning and cognitive sciences.



The positions are full-time, fiscal-year (12-month), benefits-eligible
appointments with no tenure implications. Anticipated start date is July,
2021.



The qualification for this position: must have earned a Ph.D. in
psychology, computational linguistics, computer science, cognitive science
or in a related field within the past five years.

Salary range is $53,760.00 to $58,608.00 depending on previous experience.
