Dear colleagues,

The Division of Research on Learning (DRL) in the Directorate for Education and Human Resources (EHR) at the National Science Foundation would like to announce five nation-wide searches for Program Directors to join our multidisciplinary staff. This is a broad call for both permanent and temporary positions across several fields related to research on learning and education.

These positions are open to qualified applicants from a wide range of disciplinary backgrounds and certainly including those represented by this society

As a Program Officer, you would manage multidisciplinary grants programs that support cutting-edge research, both basic and applied, related to STEM learning and education. You would also have the opportunity to create new funding programs that target current and future needs not addressed by existing programs and to foster new research communities that often lie in the gray areas between traditional disciplinary boundaries.

This is a great opportunity to work in the federal context and to learn about research across an astonishing array of literatures as well as a chance to bring your own vision and insights to bear on issues of pressing national concern.

Sincerely yours,

Gregg Solomon

ECR replaces REAL which had replaced REESE which had replaced ROLE which had replaced SOL. We believe ECR to be irreplaceable. The revised solicitation can be found at https://www.nsf.gov/funding/pgm_summ.jsp?pims_id=504924.

Integrative Strategies for Understanding Neural and Cognitive Systems (NCS) proposals are due February 14, 2022. The solicitation can be found at www.nsf.gov/pubs/2021/nsf21517/nsf21517.htm<http://www.nsf.gov/pubs/2021/nsf21517/nsf21517.htm>.
