We are looking for a postdoc to investigate how approximate Bayesian inference, particularly sampling algorithms, can be applied to explain group interactions and decision making. The successful candidate will work as part of a collaborative team exploring how sampling algorithms match both the generally good performance and surprising biases of human cognition: https://sampling.warwick.ac.uk/.

The position is for two years with the possibility of an extension. It will be based in the Department of Psychology at the University of Warwick, which along with Warwick Business School, has a large number of researchers interested in the computational modelling of behaviour (https://warwick.ac.uk/fac/sci/psych/research/behaviouralscience/ and https://warwick.ac.uk/fac/soc/wbs/subjects/bsci/).

Warwick is located in the heart of England, a few miles from the centre of Coventry, and on the border of Warwickshire: https://warwick.ac.uk/about/visiting/region/. There are excellent transport links to London and other major cities.

The closing date is April 29th. For full information see: https://www.jobs.ac.uk/job/CFD820/.
