Job opportunity: post-doctoral research associate (UE07)



The School of Philosophy, Psychology and Language Sciences (PPLS) at the
University of Edinburgh is seeking to appoint a 1.0 FTE Post-Doctoral
Research Associate. The post-holder will be supervised by Dr. Dan Mirman (
www.danmirman.org) and will work on a 5-year, multi-site project funded by
the US National Institutes of Health, "Cognitive and Neural Basis of
Functional Communication Deficits in Post-Stroke Aphasia".



The post holder will be responsible for developing and using advanced
lesion-symptom mapping methods to better understand and predict functional
communication impairments in post-stroke aphasia. The successful candidate
will hold an appropriate degree with relevant post-graduate research
experience. Normally a PhD or equivalent degree in Psychology,
Neuroscience, or Communication Sciences & Disorders with specialization in
neuroimaging and language disorders (pending/assumed complete can be
considered at the time of application).
