A postdoctoral researcher position is available in professor Ion Juvina’s laboratory, Department of Psychology, Wright State University, Dayton, OH.
The postdoc will work on a DARPA-funded grant titled Recovering the Sources of Individual Differences Unduly‐named Errors (ReSIDUE). She or he will join a team of researchers who will apply knowledge-based contextual artificial intelligence (AI) to explain error variance in large-scale human performance optimization (HPO) experiments.
Responsibilities include:
(60%) Data analysis. Pre-processing, descriptive, and inferential statistical data analysis of large datasets from HPO experiments spanning the physical, cognitive, and social domains.
(30%) Reporting findings. Writing journal papers. Presenting at local, national, and international conferences.
(5%) Software and data maintenance and documentation.
(5%) Collaboration with other lab members.
Candidates must have a PhD in Cognitive Science, Psychology, Computer Science, or other related discipline. Strong background and familiarity with data analysis techniques and tools are required. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in programming and interest in computational cognitive modeling.
The position is available immediately and will remain open until filled. Starting salary: 50,000 USD. The term is for one year and is potentially renewable depending on grant funding.
