Hello everyone,

Sorry for cross-posting.

In the hope to reach some primate cognition people this way, see the call for participation to ManyPrimates 1 below.

Best,

Manuel

— Call for participation: ManyPrimates 1 —

We invite people interested in primate cognition to contribute to ManyPrimates 1 - a large scale investigation of primate short-term memory.

What is ManyPrimates<https://manyprimates.github.io/>?
The ManyPrimates project was initiated in 2018 to facilitate collaboration across study sites in primate cognition research. By joining forces, we hope to address important outstanding questions that individual labs could not answer by themselves.

What do we study?
This is the first ManyPrimates project and we therefore chose to study a basic aspect of cognition: Short-term memory. In doing so, we can build on previous work that developed a procedure that can be implemented with a large number of species, allowing us to collect comparable data with a large number of species.

What are the study goals?
We want to collect a large and diverse data set in order to study the evolution of short-term memory in the primate lineage. We therefore hope to include as many species and individuals per species as possible.

Who can contribute?
We are looking for people working with primates who are interested in collecting data at their study site*. We have a set of minimal ethical guidelines<https://manyprimates.github.io/ethics/> that need to apply in order to contribute. There are also ways to contribute beyond data collection, which are specified in our authorship guidelines<https://manyprimates.github.io/authorship/>.

How to contribute?
Instructions for how to contribute can be found on our website: https://manyprimates.github.io/mp1/

* We welcome data from any primate species, but we are especially encouraging people working with underrepresented species to contribute.
