[CogSci] Postdoc opportunity in language development at UIUC

Dr. Jessica Montag of the Learning and Language Lab is looking for a postdoc to join our research team. This is an NSF funded position to investigate early language experience and language learning in young children.
The Learning and Language Lab is an exciting new lab in the Department of Psychology at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. We use multiple methodologies to investigate language learning and language use, including the collection and analysis of naturalistic language corpora, lab-based studies with children and adults (including eye-tracking), and computational modeling.
Job description:
This is a two-year post-doctoral position. Salary will be based on NIH postdoctoral stipend guidelines.
Qualifications:
- A Ph.D. in psychology, linguistics, speech and hearing sciences, or related field
- Prior experience collecting and analyzing eye-tracking data
- A keen sense of experimental design and experimental methodology
- Strong quantitative skills (ideally experience with R or Python)
- Willingness and ability to work as a member of a team
- Excellent written communication skills including demonstrated ability to write for a scientific audience
 Start date: negotiable, with a preference for Fall 2019
