We are happy to announce the 26th edition of the International Summer 
School in Cognitive Science, 2019.

Dates:  July 8 – July 19

Focus: The Summer School of Cognitive Science gives an opportunity to 
students and young researchers to get acquainted with the range of 
current topics and achievements in cognitive science research.

Special Qualifications: Anybody interested in cognitive science is 
welcome to the International Summer School in Cognitive Science. The 
capacity of the school is limited. Therefore we encourage early 
registration.

Description: The International Summer School in Cognitive Science is a 
unique event which brings together students and researchers all over the 
world and is a platform for collaboration. This year’s edition offers 
the following courses:


•	Rationality debates in contemporary cognitive science: A guide for the 
perplexed - Vincenzo Crupi, University of Turin

•	Cognitive Neuropsychiatry – Asaf Gilboa, Baycrest, University of 
Toronto

•	Cognitive Electrophysiology - Yuliana Yordanova and Vasil Kolev, BAS

•	Tutorial in E-prime scripts - Kiril Kostov, NBU


The Summer School includes also daily discussion sessions in small 
groups and other events.


Application:
To participate in the Summer School you have to fill in the form and pay 
the tuition fee until the 1st of July.


Grants for International applicants:
Thanks to the generous donation of the Cognitive Science Society 
(http://www.cognitivesciencesociety.org/), we have Summer school grants 
(tuition fee waivers) for up to 10 international applicants. To apply 
for grant you need to send via e-mail to school at cogs.nbu.bg the 
following documents:

1.	Application form (please, fill in and submit the form)
2.	CV;
3.	Statement of purpose (not more than 2 pages);
4.	Academic reference by a faculty member or thesis supervisor 
(optional).

Deadline for applicatons: 20th of June.

Participants' Symposium (optional)
At the symposium the participants can present their own research 
projects - their research plans, preliminary or final data and get 
feedback from the rest of the group and the lecturers.
Submit short abstracts up to 300 words to be reviewed and potentially 
presented at the participant symposium. Papers should be sent in PDF 
format at school at cogs.nbu.bg
Applying for the participant's symposium: 1st of July.


Tuition fee: 350 EUR
The tuition fee covers access to all courses and events of the Summer 
School.
