Dear Colleagues,

The ManyBabies Consortium is a group of labs interested in studying infant
behavior across large samples (our approach is described in this preprin
<https://osf.io/preprints/psyarxiv/27b43/>*t*). We are currently in the
planning stages for ManyBabies4, a multi-lab study of infant social
evaluations following Hamlin et al. (2007). We would like to invite labs
who wish to be part of the planning efforts to sign up for the ManyBabies4
listserv using this link
<https://mailman.stanford.edu/mailman/listinfo/manybabies4>. The current
solicitation is intended for people who want to join conference calls and
be an active participant in the study design, stimulus creation, and
analysis planning phases. We will issue another call for participation in
data collection once we have a finalized protocol.

In the study, we plan to compare infants’ preference for helpers vs.
hinderers using both live and recorded stimuli at 3-6, 6-9, 9-12, and 12-15
months of age. We are still actively developing the design of the study.
Participating actively in the planning process and/or contributing data
will lead to co-authorship on the final paper for both the PI and (if
appropriate) an actively involved lab member.

Thanks,

Kelsey Lucca, on behalf of the ManyBabies4 Consortium
